WELCOME TO SEND R US
Our vision is to live in a community where all children, young people and adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) have access to the same opportunities as everyone else. This includes bringing families together as we understand it can be a lonely journey when you have a child with SEND.
Our mission is to reduce isolation, stress and anxiety for people living with SEND through our fun and educational activities in the community. This creates opportunities for friendships and support networks to be formed.
We encourage inclusion and social equity for all of our SEND community and we aim to address any gaps that we see in society.
Currently, we are running cookery courses, which will run throughout 2023. We have run sign language workshops, in collaboration with a local special education high school, and we run lots of fun, educational activities for SEND children with drumming events and animal workshops.
SEND R US CIC collaborate with local organisations whose values align with ours to help provide and enrich the experiences of our local community.
All our children, young people and adults with SEND are Superheroes, and we encourage and support them all the way to reach their full potential.
Our directors bring a wealth of experience and skills to SEND R US. We are parent/carers of a child/young person or adult with disabilities and or complex needs. We live in Halton and have knowledge of what services are available in the community, and what could be improved or implemented, having run projects in the community and helped families whilst working in the third sector.
Our directors have held prominent positions in local groups, attended strategic meetings with the local council and are passionate to make a positive difference in the community.
We appreciate your support.
